"Pre-loved" reconditioned cricket balls for use in winter nets are available to purchase from the Doc on 16th January. £2 each, all proceeds to the club. Please bring correct change if possible.

Although the weather is unpleasant at this time we are looking forward to the start of our indoor cricket nets.

 

The schedule for this season is that junior coaching starts at Bishop stopford School on January 10th  6pm till 7pm.

 

Net coaching starts on Monday 16th january at 7pm.

 

Under 11s 7pm to 8pm

Under 13s 7pm to 8pm

 

Under 15s 8.10pm to 9.10pm

Under 17s 8.10pm to 9.10pm

 

Senior 8.10pm to 9.10pm

Four new captains were elected at last night's AGM for the 2012 season.
Grant de Kock takes over the reins for the 1st team, Liam Flecknor is 2nd team captain, while Scott Ramsay and Colin Harrop take charge of the 3rds and 4ths respectively.  Ian Hadlow will continue as Sunday skipper, ably assisted by new vice captain Danny Beere.  Other vice captains for next season will be Robin Cunningham (1sts), Steve Butler (2nds), Ian Hadlow (3rds) and Sid Reynolds (4ths).
The committee was re-elected en bloc, with new recruits Ian Hadlow and Liam Flecknor coming on board to reduce the average age!
Good luck to all captains for 2012, and thanks to all the outgoing captains from last season for your efforts in 2011.

Please do not foget that our AGM is this Wednesday.

The AGM is being held at Thorpe Malsor Club at 8pm prompt.

Postal Vote Form:	Member that is qualified to vote but unable to attend the AGM.	Members that wish to vote by post must request a voting form by no later than 30th November 2011
Postal Voting:		All postal votes are to be received in a sealed envelope by hand, post or email to Iain Holliday by no later than midnight on 5th December 2011.
Any Other Business:		To be submitted to Iain Holliday by no later than midnight on Monday 5th December 2011.
Annual General Meeting:	To be held at Thorpe Malsor Social Club	Wednesday 7th December 2011 at 8pm

 

RULES FOR NOMINATIONS

 

Nominations

 

1. Only paid-up members are allowed to nominate
2. Members are permitted to nominate themselves
3. Only one nomination for a captain and vice captain is allowed per member for a Saturday team.
4. Only members who played in a Sunday fixture in 2011 will be eligible to nominate a captain or vice captain for the Sunday team.
5. Members can nominate captain / vice captain for the team of your choice.
6. The nomination should be submitted on the required form and in accordance with the specified timetable.
7. No proposer or seconder is required

 

RULES FOR VOTING

 

Saturday Captain and Vice Captain

 

1. Only paid-up members will be allowed to vote.
2. Only junior players who have played senior cricket in 2011 season will be allowed to vote.
3. Only one vote per member allowed for captain and vice captain.
4. You can vote for the captain/vice captain for the team of your choice i.e. if you want to vote for 1st team captain, you will not be able to vote for any other captain for any other Saturday side - same for vice captain.
5. If you are unable to attend the AGM, and you wish to vote, you must contact the secretary to obtain a voting form.
6. The votes received by the secretary will be sealed and opened at the AGM.

 

Sunday Captain and Vice Captain

 

1. Only paid-up members will be allowed to vote.
2. Only players who have played for the Sunday league team will be eligible to vote.

 

Postal Voting

 

1. If you are unable to attend the AGM, and you wish to vote, you must contact the secretary to obtain a voting form in accordance with the timetable outlined above.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

 

1. The Annual General Meeting is open to anyone who wants to attend, but only paid up members will be permitted to vote. A paid up member is a member of the club that has paid his Annual Subscription for the 2011 season.
2. Any Other Business - All items for discussion at the Annual General Meeting should be submitted to the Secretary I accordance with the timetable above.  Only submitted items will be discussed at the meeting.
